    Patience

    Dear Lord,

Help us we pray, to learn the lesson of patience and of love and of all the beautiful attributes that only come through a close and meaningful walk with our Lord Jesus. Help us to submit the difficulties and problems in our lives to you, instead of trying to put on a pretense of being ‘patient’, when what we need is your love and your peace and your joy and your patience, which we realize only comes by grace, through trusting you. Thank You for your loving patience with us in teaching us how to live as you would have us live.

    Amen.

    “Speak to me, Lord”

    Dear Jesus,

Your words sum up a basic truth to guide every missionary disciple. To be free of dependence on the things of this world forms us into missionary disciples who learn to trust in God alone.

Our complete trust in God’s providential care does not mean we cannot plan to ensure there are enough resources for the preaching of the Gospel. It simply means that the success of our mission depends less on available resources and more on our trust in the powerful work of the Holy Spirit, who is the soul of the evangelizing church.

So even as we plan and prepare for ministry Jesus calls us to greater trust in his abiding presence as we pray, “speak to me, Lord.”

    Amen.

    "HOPE”

    Dear Lord,

Hope is what gives us a reason to continue in life and if you believe in God, you are never without it. Hope is something that He can provide, ensuring us that we are always strong and with a reason to follow Him. However, there will be times when we feel low and may not understand what the reason is behind the difficult times we face. When the obstacles are all around us, prayers for hope can help us move forward. The Lord will never give us more than we can handle, but He may give us more than we can handle on our own. Remember to turn to the Lord when things are too much and when you feel like there’s no hope left. He will give us the hope we need and provide us with the strength to carry on. His everlasting love is all we will ever need.

    Amen.

Lord help us to continue to increase our HOPE in You.

If we will learn to COMMIT our stresses and situations to You, we will enjoy our lives more - we will be happier and more relaxed.

Lord, please be the center of our lives. We welcome you personally as Lord and Savior of our lives. We ask you, Holy Spirit, to fill us and empower us to live as children of God. We want to have your grace so that we may truly live a new life. Thank you for hearing our prayer through Christ our Lord.

    Amen

Chaos and uncertainty are pressing in around us, but there is one whose presence brings peace. Let’s push against the tendency to constantly distract or immediately solve problems. Vocation Sunday

    Dear Lord,

On this Good Shepherd Sunday, we give thanks to you, because in you we will never perish! No one will snatch us from your hand. Today we pray for an increase in the Shepherds in our Church. May Jesus the Good Shepherd raise up many shepherds after his own heart. To lay down their lives and carry his sheep on their shoulders.

Father Ed raised the question, “Is what I am spending my energies on every day my real vocation? God is calling every single one of us to work for the Gospel. For a small number it may be as a priest or religious – and that call can come at any time in our lives.” There are many ways we can serve the Church through our CDA activities.

“Let us pray that we all respond to the call given to us.”

Thank you that you are with us in all that we go through. And thank You that you are in control of all things and that nothing is too difficult for You. Help me to remember that pleasing you is of utmost importance to you, so we ask You to give us hearts that are thankful in all circumstances – even the ones we don’t understand. As we praise you –regardless of our circumstances – fill our hearts with hope.

    Amen.

    Thursday in Easter Week

April is dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament & Holy Spirit

Be Still and now that I am God

    Dear Lord,

You know our hearts better than we know them. You know our struggles and you hold each hope and fear in your caring hands. Teach us, LORD, to be still and to know that you are God.

You are in your holy temple; let all the earth, including our minds and hearts, be silent before you. Replace our restless doing with inner calm, and help us, like Mary, to sit at your feet in quiet adoration even if there are a million things clamoring for our attention. Help us cultivate a quiet heart, like a baby content in its mother’s arms.

    Amen.

Thank you for the blessings you’ve given to us and to our families. Help us use those blessings to bless others. May we live a life of true joy as we see you at work around us today! In Jesus' name we rejoice. Alleluia!

    Lord, Give Me Your Eyes

    Dear Jesus,

When our spiritual eyes are opened, we will recognize that we’re not alone. God is with us, and he has a massive spiritual arsenal at our disposal. We are His children, and his Spirit is alive within us. Now is the time to allow faith to rise within us, enabling us to advance God’s Kingdom. Stand strong! Believe God’s Word, and you will see His glory manifested in your life. We pray that our eyes will be opened so that we may see the needs of others.

    Amen.

    Easter Monday

April is dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament & Holy Spirit

    Easter Monday - Salvation

    Dear God,

We believe that you sent your only begotten Son Jesus Christ, to die on the cross, so that by believing in Him we can be forgiven, and be redeemed because His innocent blood was shed for us.

Thank You for loving us enough to send Your only begotten, sinless Son to become a Man, so that He could offer Himself as the perfect Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world. Thank You for loving us and for dying for us. Help us to live a life that honors you, in thought, word and deed.

    Amen.

    Easter Sunday

April is dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament & Holy Spirit

    ALLELUIA HE IS RISEN

    EASTER - RESURRECTION SUNDAY

    Dear God,

You loved this world so much, that you gave your only Son, that we might be called your children too. Lord, help us to live in the gladness and grace of Easter Sunday, every day. Let us have hearts of thankfulness for your sacrifice. Let us have eyes that look upon your grace and rejoice in our salvation. Help us to walk in that mighty grace and tell your good news to the world.

May the glory and the promise of this joyous season bring peace and happiness to all and to those most dear. We pray this for your honor and glory.

    Amen.

    A Blessed Easter!

    Holy Saturday

April is dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament & Holy Spirit

    Holy Saturday Prayer

    Dear God,

On the Sabbath, Jesus rested. He was in the grave. He had finished his work. To most people’s eyes, it looked as if it were all over. He was dead and buried. Only as a seed dies when it is planted in the earth, not to decay, but to spring to new life. Teach us to take refuge in you when we are afraid. Teach us that death is not our end. Teach us to hope always in you and in the resurrection, the making of all things new. We pray through Jesus Christ our Lord,

    Amen.

    Good Friday

April is dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament & Holy Spirit

    Good Friday Prayer

    Dear God,

Jesus cried out to you on the cross, “Why have you forsaken me?” You seemed so far from his cry and from his distress. Those who stood at the foot of the cross wondered where you were, as they saw Jesus mocked and shamed and killed. Where were you then? We, too, ask where you are, when there is trouble and suffering and death, and we cry out to you for help. Be near to us, and save us so that we may praise you for your deliverance. We wait, on Good Friday, for the resurrection of Sunday. Sometimes our lives seem like a succession of Fridays and we cannot see what is “Good.” Teach us to call your name as Jesus did. Help us to trust in you like little children. In Jesus’ name,

    Amen.

    Holy Thursday

April is dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament & Holy Spirit

    Holy Thursday (Maundy Thursday) Prayer

    Dear God,

You sent your Son into the world, and before his hour had come, He washed his disciples’ feet. You had given all things into his hands. He had come from you, and was going to you. What did he do? He knelt on the floor, and washed his friends’ feet. He was their teacher and their Lord, and yet he washed their feet. Help us learn from his example. Help us to do as he has done for us. The world will know we are his disciples If we love one another. Strengthen our hands and our wills for love and for service. Keep before our eyes the image of your Son, who, being God, became a Servant for our sake. All glory be to him who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

    Amen.
