He who does justice will live in the presence of the Lord.

    Dear Lord,

We live in a “Martha” world of many distractions, never-ending demands, and over-stimulation. Lord Jesus, help us—help us cultivate a Mary heart in a Martha world. Our problem isn’t the world we inhabit, but the heart that inhabits us. We make King David’s prayer ours, “Give us undivided hearts that we may live in awe of your name”, Jesus. You are the “one thing worth being concerned about”; you are the “one thing” that will never be taken from us.

    Amen.

We are releasing what comes next into your hands, O Lord, and trusting you fully. We want to step into whatever path you lay before us, even when it looks different from what we thought we wanted. For we know you have bigger plans for our lives, so we submit our lives to your will. We will trust and obey you with an eager and joyful heart. Father, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

    Dear Lord,

What must we do to inherit eternal life? He replied, you shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your being, with all your strength, and with all your mind and your neighbor as yourself. We pray today to be moved like the Samaritan in the gospel who had compassion for the traveler. May we show compassion and mercy towards all our neighbors so that we may reflect the goodness of the Samaritan in our lives.

    HOPE

    Dear Lord,

Hope is what gives us a reason to continue in life and if you believe in God, you are never without it. Hope is something that He can provide, ensuring us that we are always strong and with a reason to follow Him. However, there will be times when we feel low and may not understand what the reason is behind the difficult times we face. When the obstacles are all around us, prayers for hope can help us move forward. The Lord will never give us more than we can handle, but He may give us more than we can handle on our own. Remember to turn to the Lord when things are too much and when you feel like there’s no hope left. He will give us the hope we need and provide us with the strength to carry on. His everlasting love is all we will ever need.

    Amen.

    Prayer to be Trustworthy

    Dear Lord,

We don’t want to declare our own loyalty, but we give glory to you, when others testify of our loyalty, our trustworthiness, our dependability. Your Scripture teaches us to be people who are honest and dependable, who do to others as we would have them do to us. Living among such people makes day to day living so much more enjoyable, relationships more trustworthy, and dealings with those who do business a more fair and pleasant experience. You “detest lying lips but delight in people who are trustworthy”. We want to bring delight to you today and always, and we can do so by being trustworthy. Through Christ Jesus we pray.

We are living in precarious times. Very little has gone untouched by the global pandemic. But there are things that remain sure. Chaos and uncertainty are pressing in around us, but there is one whose presence brings peace. Let’s push against the tendency to constantly distract or immediately solve problems. Let’s stop, pray, read, and reflect. Let’s be still and know that He is God.

    Amen.

Feast of St. Joseph the Worker

Sunday in the 3rd Week of Easter

May is dedicated to Our Blessed Mother

I have praised you Lord, for you have rescued me.

    Dear Lord,

To Peter, Christ gave the command to “feed my sheep.” Three times the command is repeated. He received the pastoral calling. Today, we gathered in Church precisely because Christ commanded Peter to feed his sheep. All clergy are charged to feed the sheep. Let us pray for all Clergy that they may tend to the Flock of God and to guard and protect the sheep entrusted to their care.
    We pray in his Name.

    Amen.

    Holy Saturday

April is dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament & Holy Spirit

    Holy Saturday Prayer

    Dear God,

On the Sabbath, Jesus rested. He was in the grave. He had finished his work.
To most people’s eyes, it looked as if it were all over. He was dead and buried. Only as a seed dies when it is planted in the earth, not to decay, but to spring to new life. Teach us to take refuge in you when we are afraid. Teach us that death is not our end. Teach us to hope always in you and in the resurrection, the making of all things new. We pray through Jesus Christ our Lord,

    Amen.

    Good Friday

April is dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament & Holy Spirit

    Good Friday Prayer

    Dear God,

Jesus cried out to you on the cross, “Why have you forsaken me?” You seemed so far from his cry and from his distress. Those who stood at the foot of the cross wondered where you were, as they saw Jesus mocked and shamed and killed. Where were you then? We, too, ask where you are, when there is trouble and suffering and death, and we cry out to you for help. Be near to us, and save us so that we may praise you for your deliverance. We wait, on Good Friday, for the resurrection of Sunday. Sometimes our lives seem like a succession of Fridays and we cannot see what is “Good.” Teach us to call your name as Jesus did. Help us to trust in you like little children. In Jesus’ name,

    Amen.

    Holy Thursday (Maundy Thursday) Prayer

    Dear God,

You sent your Son into the world, and before his hour had come, He washed his disciples’ feet. You had given all things into his hands. He had come from you, and was going to you. What did he do? He knelt on the floor, and washed his friends’ feet. He was their teacher and their Lord, and yet he washed their feet. Help us learn from his example. Help us to do as he has done for us. The world will know we are his disciples If we love one another. Strengthen our hands and our wills for love and for service. Keep before our eyes the image of your Son, who, being God, became a Servant for our sake. All glory be to him who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

April is dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament & Holy Spirit

    Monday - Holy Week Prayer

    Dear God,

Six days before his death, your son sat with Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. He ate dinner with his friends.
Once again, your gospel tells us, Martha served, while Mary knelt at Jesus’ feet to anoint them with costly perfume. The disciple was about to betray him.

Often, we cannot discern what is best for us. When to be busy serving or when to be praying. We ask you to give us ears to hear you and eyes to see for the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ.

    Amen.

    Dear God,

We give you thanks, for you are good, and your mercy is endless. Here we stand, at the start of this holy week. This is the week in which we remember Jesus’ passion and death. We are distracted by many things. Turn our eyes to the One who comes in your name. The one who opens the gates of righteousness. The one who answers us when we call. We bless you, Lord, for shining your light upon us, and for sending your son to us, in human frailty. Open our eyes that we may see him coming,

May we praise him with a pure heart. May we walk in the way of his suffering,
May we share also in his resurrection. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.

    Amen.

Let us open our hearts and minds to God's forgiveness, healing and mercy. Lord, you have given us forty days to journey into the inner mountains of our hearts and lives. Let these sacred days be a time when we seek and find you with in each of us. Make this time of Lent a time to listen to your voice and be guided by your spirit. We ask all this through our Lord Jesus Christ your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

    Amen

The other person may be right, while we may be all wrong, yet unaware. Life is full of stones that somehow trip us, and yet, we stumble now and then. Lord, give us tolerance, for only you are rightly fit to judge others.

    Amen.

March is dedicated to Saint Joseph

Prayer to Bear One Another’s Burdens

We carry another's burdens when we humbly walk alongside of them and support them wherever they are in their walk with God. We must remember that God is the one who will help them. It isn't up to us to alleviate their suffering. Carrying another's burden does not mean to take away their pain. It simply means to hold them up and point them to Christ. However, we can help them by praying for them. Knowing that you are praying for them will certainly ease their pain.

Heavenly Father, help us to bear one another’s burden with mercy and with joy, bringing them closer to Christ.

    Amen.

    Presentation

    Heavenly Father,

On this Feast of Candlemas (the Presentation of Christ), we recall the gift Mary and Joseph gave to the world by offering baby Jesus to you in the temple. We offer up to you all the children in our families.

We place the children into your perfect will and we turn their futures over to you. Christ your Son became man for us and was presented in the temple. May he free our hearts from sin and bring us into your presence. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son who lives and reigns with you for ever and ever.

    Amen.

    February 1, 2022

Tuesday in the Fourth week of Ordinary Time

February is dedicated to The Holy Family

    The Theme is Love

    Prayer for Love

    Dear God,

Bless us with Love, O Merciful God. May we Love as you Love! May we show patience, tolerance, kindness, caring and love to all. You love us so wonderfully; may we reflect your love in our relationships with others. Help us to love well, dear Father. Help us to be good listeners. Help us to give of our time and assistance freely. Help us to be empathetic. Help us to treat others as we would like to be treated. Help us to increase our love for others.

    Amen.
